Elopements across South Australia

Just the two of you. And maybe a few you love.

Gather and Vow is a celebrant and a photographer who have teamed up to make eloping easy. One booking covers your legal ceremony, your photos and, if you like, a film. You pick the place. We handle the paperwork, the timeline and the light.

Why elope with us

All the meaning of a wedding, none of the production.

One booking, one team

Your celebrant and photographer already work together. No juggling vendors, no mismatched timelines, one point of contact from enquiry to final gallery.

Legal, done properly

Niamh lodges and checks your Notice of Intended Marriage, runs the legal wording, and files your registration with SA Births, Deaths and Marriages.

Relaxed, never posed stiff

Dan shoots natural and timeless. If you hate posing, he's your guy. Most of the good photos happen while you're having a great time.

How it works

From hello to married.

In Australia you need to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month before your date. Here's how it runs with us.

  1. Today

    Check your date

Tell us when, roughly where and how many. We confirm availability for both of us and send your package details.

  2. 1+ month out

    Lodge your notice

You sign your Notice of Intended Marriage with Niamh. It's valid for 18 months, so you can lock it in early.

  3. 2 weeks out

    Plan the day

Niamh drafts your ceremony and Dan builds the timeline around the best light at your spot.

  4. The day

    Say I do

Ceremony, signing and photos. You'll need two witnesses over 18. Sneak peeks land within 72 hours.

Places we love

Your backdrop is South Australia.

A cliff, a vineyard row, a garden bench or your own backyard. If it's legal to stand there, we can marry you there.

Adelaide Hills

Stringybark forest, misty mornings and hotels like The Stirling.

McLaren Vale

Vine rows and long golden light.

Barossa

Old stone, big gums and cellar doors.

Fleurieu coast

Sea cliffs and quiet beaches an hour from the city.

In the city

Botanic Garden, Carrick Hill and little laneways.

Questions

Good to know.

Anything else, just ask. We reply to every enquiry personally.

What do we need to legally marry in South Australia?

A Notice of Intended Marriage lodged at least one month before your date, ID for both of you, a registered celebrant, and two witnesses over 18. Niamh walks you through every step.

We don't have witnesses. Can you help?

Yes. Let us know when you enquire and we'll talk through the options.

Can we choose any location?

Almost anywhere. Some parks and beaches need a council permit for ceremonies. We'll tell you if yours does and how to get one.

What if the weather turns?

We'll plan a backup spot with you during planning. Dan is very happy shooting in moody weather.

Can we add film or extra time?

Yes. Any package can add film or extra photography hours. Ask and we'll quote it upfront.

Tell us about your day.

Send a few details and we’ll come back to you within two business days with availability for both of us. Or email hello@gatherandvow.com.au.
